Our Projects.
As IADT is in its first year of entering Enactus, the team decided to pick two projects. one is a more short term project that can me expanded, this is 'Mind your Media' and one long term that will take several years to actually get off the ground and up and running. This is a quick overview of each project writtem by the two team leaders.

3DG
3DG aims to bring 3D Printing to rural communities in the developing world to help the communities we work with become more self sufficient, productive and significantly raise their standard of living. We aim to initially introduce it to small organic farmers to help improve their agricultural processes through improvements in methods, far quicker access to cheaper tools and/or utensils and massive improvements in specific harvesting methods (ie: beekeeping, maize)3DG aims to bring 3D Printing to rural communities in the developing world to help the communities we work with become more self sufficient, productive and significantly raise their standard of living. Mind your Media
Mind you Media is a social enterprise project which aims to provide career orientation skills regarding social media. Essentially, the lack of best practice skills on social media affects future job prospects. We are aiming to help teenagers understand how to mind their social media and provide them with invaluable skills. These skills include appropriating postings and privacy settings. The programme will take the form of workshops and group discussions. The project is currently targeted to non-formal educational sector, in disadvantaged areas in Dublin.
Up to now we have conducted a focus group which assisted us in understanding how our target market interacts with social media. Findings from this focus group validated that there is a need for this project. Discussion with employers and based on industry reports, it was concluded that social media has an imminent impact on hiring.
In the following weeks, we will be conducting a pilot programme and assess the impact of this project. In the future, we also like to involve refugees in this project to help them with their employability for the future.
